I dunno. I was in the Austrian lounge near Terminal "A" in Vienna over the weekend. They seemed pretty relaxed--I was travelling with a non-elite (on UA) pal, and they didn't even look at his ticket--this is notable b/c he came through the door a bit after me, and it might not have seemed like we were travelling together.

Inside the lounge, there was a family that consisted of mom, dad, kid, grandpa, and, while I didn't check their cards, it is unlikely, IMHO, that they were all *Golds.

My guess is that they will let you slip by with the other grown-up as the guest.

One final note--and I say this with no ill-will directed toward you personally--on behalf of those of us who regard such lounges as a peaceful respite from the noise and rigor of travel, please watch your kids, and keep them under control. So many parents don't. I realize that kids are kids, but there is little more aggravating than 2 children having a "who can utter the most eardrum-piercing scream" contest while the parents do *nothing* about it.

Regards,

O/H
