It's fixed now. I guess it must have been an Avis website glitch. (It wasn't a browser problem of mine, because I got the same issue with two different browsers.)

Does Avis do periodic maintenance over the weekend that can cause this? I didn't see any mention on their website, but the fact that this happened early on a Sunday morning makes me wonder...
