I've taken that particular train recently and was extra early for a 12:00 flight out of T1. When you arrive, you go upstairs, several flights, then back down to the CDG VAL, and maybe 15 minutes later you should be at your check in desk at T1.

You should ask your airline when the baggage check in desk closes. If it closes an hour before the flight, you should be fine.
