I've never figured why people have difficulty with Choices. Choices are just RDM with an extra capability. You can never have more Choices than RDM.
Think of them as
red RDM and non-Choices as
blue RDM. When you get an award, it doesn't matter if you use
red or
blue RDM, but it's better for you to keep the
red RDM because you have the additional options with them.

Nobody separates Choice miles and non-Choice miles. You have total RDM, and a subset of those are Choice RDM.
