Sorry to disagree, thai-traveller747, BUT, all the Etickets and TG websites now show that "due to new regulations, Passengers must clear immigration at their first port of call into Thailand". This will mean that all passengers transiting Bangkok to Chiang mai and Phuket etc (all int ports), must clear passport control at Bangkok.
