A couple of other points,

When you arrive and go to the transfer desk, they should ask for your baggage claim tickets as well - make sure you tell them you have checked bags checked all the way through to AKL.

Second, the ANZ lounge is great - avail yourself to showers there. Really makes the trip that much nicer.
