Only goes to show the advantage of the pass. You lock in some certainty for a year. It's a great hedge against rising fares/surcharges. A lot of FTers compared the passes against first quarter low season fares, but when you compare the passes against shoulder and peak season, and assume higher fuel surcharges, they are a pretty good deal (for now at least).
