Miles are worth a bit more than Zimbabwean dollars! (Zimbabwe has hyperinflation so money becomes worthless fast)
You can pretty much have my miles. I just want the status as the perks that come with it still mean a lot to me.
Circuitous routes are my new goldmine. I'm doing SVO ATL LAX ATL today/tomorrow instead of SVO ATL for only about $100 more. With the PMU I'll do today confirmed in J (well Z) all the way. Tomorrow, I'm sure I'll clear for the LAX to ATL flight. Adding these legs and an occasional night to trips I am effectively doing away with the obligatory December 29 flight to FRA that I've had to do the last few years to get GM and then PM. So, for me, the odd routings are working well. YMMV...
