I totally understand the logistics issue.
My only comment with Int'l travel is to ensure the Star Alliance priority tags are put on rather than the domestic First Class priority tags. The First tags don't mean anything when loading/offloading my SYD flight - especially when I'm not in First for that section
I'll be passing through IND tomorrow so I'll see what your colleagues do
