I'd say that's pretty much a guarantee. In SAN, where the AE terminal is separate from the AA gates, the AC is just past security. TSA won't let you through with an AE BP - you have to get a dummy BP from the counter, where they give you a lecture that you are supposed to provide 24 hour notice. Wonderful customer service, all the way around.
