I don't mind stops, but they tend to increase the potential for weather- or mx-related delays (simply because the total number of aircraft and/or airports used on a trip is increasing).
For example, if you're going SFO-JFK in the winter, would you stop in Chicago or Dallas (Or MCI, STL, etc.) if you could avoid it? You probably would, *if* you knew the weather would be okay that day. Unfortunately, that's usually not knowable at the time of booking. So I tend to prefer the non-stop.
I had been happy to see the growth in WN's non-stops. In part, it indicated a new direction for an airline that had been focused on shorter-haul point-to-point flying, which was interesting by itself. But it looks like it hasn't yet worked out for WN, with maybe a limited exception or two.
