I know no one who found them satisfactory, and more than a few folks who took them back to the store (me included) for a refund. Do you really want to attend a wedding with a big damp spot on your lap? ;-)

If you hunt around, there should be some form of disposables available with minimal chemical additives - lotions, deodorizers, etc. - and the fewer chemicals, the less likely a rash or reaction to the diaper.
