My suspicions are that the EDI staff, however excellent they may be, will know little about T5 procedures. I'll probably try, but will expect to have to find a desk/staff at flight connections in T5 to do whatever they have to do to allow passage through security and happy boarding.
It's little things like this that frustrate - another slightly bewildered pair of passengers taking up the time of customer service staff, when a better worded email could have spelt out exactly what to do.
