The passport/visa checks are a shambles getting to Moscow. This morning I had OLCI'd and went to a desk in Zone B (since North security seems quicker to get through), to be directed to the passport check in Zone D. I was then taken to Zone H where a Securicor staff member checked my visa and made their highly sophisticated luminous stripe on my Boarding Card.
Went to security, and turned back "as my boarding card wouldn't scan". Turns out the Securicor person checking my boarding pass wasn't enough, so had to go back to Zone H, as it has to be scanned at the desk too.
T5 has grown on me, and I'm a fan of the lounges, but this was a most frustrating experience.
