Lightbulb HP Las Vegas Delivers/ Review

The good news for me
I found Hyatt Place Las Vegas to be my first HP without a window AC unit.
No Motel 6 affect.^
The way all of them systemwide should have been mandated to do to make for a higher quality brand standard
The building was actually constructed like a normal hotel.
what a pleasure

It doesn't have the best looking or largest HP lobby I have seen (small nice enough) however it has a very nice breakfast area which is very large and a hard working staff.
And most important an excellent pro-active General Manager who cares about our/guest satisfaction.^
Something that varies at many a Hyatt Place because some of them are still tainted by the Amerisuites culture
I rank this as one of the best Hyatt Places I have stayed at with one caveat the sound proofing can be a bit weak. That said many of them suffer worse then this one as they did nothing to solve pre exixting structual problems at most Hyatt Places placing emphasis on public areas and rooms while ignoring the bathroom and other building shortcomings.

While I didn’t hear to much noise from the Las Vegas Airport
I almost fell out of my bed thinking we were having a crash landing on the hotel while the Air Force practiced some military drills over the hotel

I am told that this is not typical but can not verify.
And I do plan a return to test the waters again.
There is something nice about avoiding all the mayhem of the big casino hotels and parking nightmares. As well as having Hyatt stay credit/points/miles, a big flat screen, a fridge and business center to boot. Quick check in quick check out at this property by friendly caring agents is a plus
My check in agent seemed genuinely interested in welcoming me to the property.
The housekeeping was excellent too, everything seemed fresh and new and none of those awful lobby stinky scents or fumes from sprays was used in the rooms.
For those addicted to using GPS units watch out as the directions takes you slighty out of the way/ the wrong way into a dead end one way street.
I had to back up and use my brain to figure it out
There was another car doing the same thing we both ended up on the wrong street in an alley.Knew exactly what property they were heading too

The usual down sides:
Hyatt Place breakfasts still need impovements in quality and variety.
That said it was the best ones I have had at a Hyatt Place yet ( thats not saying a lot)
The team was very good Hyatt watching over guests at breakfast.
They didn't have newspapers during my stay. The other consistent thing at all Hyatt Places is no mention or understanding of Diamond amenity points.
So get ready as always to request them from the good folks in Omaha

I would go back and try them again if the rate and or promotion was agreeable. One of the best Hyatt Place properties I have stayed in out of the last 20 with the soundproof being my only possible concern.
