That's UK for you. I remember when I lived there how ridicilous prices were. I mean even back in 04-05 everything was at least twice as much as the US. I just brought all my stuff from the US. I had a friend visit from the UK and he bought like 3 Samsonite suitcases, loaded them up with clothes, bought suits, shirts, 3 laptops, digital SLR, GPS, everything. The only thing he did not buy is shoes, saying that styles in the US suck, but hey, he's Italian

I do also recall things like North Face Goretex Jacket high street like 425 pounds, here could be found for $200 on Sale or online, hehe ridicilous isn't it?

pred02 - thank you for the weight on the Tumi. It is a bit heavy for me. Keeping to 15 pounds on some airlines is a real problem for me even with the 6pound 8 ounce bag that I have now.
It is a real problem. For a wheeled carryon in that category eBags motherload is supposed to be good weight (6 pounds something), and people rave about the Redoxx (though pricy for my taste).
