I would only propose 2 additional benefits to Blue+.

1. Seat selection at T-72. This should be possible as they lift blocked seat restrictions on 'Gold' seats at T-72 for Silvers so all they are doing is allowing Blue+ the opportunity to select seats as well.

2. 50%/75% mileage on cheapo economy seats.

I would also change it so cheapo fares give 10-30TPs per return (maybe based on distance?).

These changes I feel benefit leisure travellers more but do not dillute Gold/Silvers benefits as lounge access is still not allowed and they will still get preferred seat selection.

Anyway, just my thoughts.
I think you have made some good suggestions here. I repeat what other posters have said that lounge access should not be a benefit of blue plus (?bronze). I am lucky to have a girlfriend with a gold card and have been her guest on many occasions - mostly the lounges have been full so any large additional group would be a huge issue for BA. I havn't been through T5 yet but I'd be surprised if the Galleries had been built with a new EC tier in mind!
