The problem with this, as I pointed out before, is that it's already the case that Golds travelling at the last minute on J-fares complain that they end up in terrible seats at the back of the LD because we Silvers on I-fares have already swiped the best seats. So I think any benefit like this would have to kick in later, say at T-36. (Of course all these points are a bit moot because, fortunately, Blue+ doesn't seem to be on the cards).

2. 50%/75% mileage on cheapo economy seats.
75% would be the same as Golds get and more than Silvers.

I would also change it so cheapo fares give 10-30TPs per return (maybe based on distance?).
You're also proposing bumping up existing thresholds? (Say to 800 for Silver, 799 for EuroSilver ). Otherwise the number of Silvers would go up a lot. Although personally I'd prefer to stick with the existing system which rewards premium travel, not lots of cheap travel, for reasons I partly have already described.

Some people do have an issue with that. The easier miles are to earn, the harder they are to spend.
