I totally agree with you answer. I sometimes wonder about two things, as I live in a non-OW country.

Why can't the OW airlines agree among themselves to maintain the tier requirements approximately at the same level?

Why OW doesn't understand the importance of the market they would gain by targeting countries without OW carriers offering lower requirements for the tier levels?

As somebody might think that this might give opportunity to abuse, my Finnish friends tell me that all the Finns are registered and that their permanent addresses could be easily controlled by AY. ^
