These aren't that bad. For your examples the following applies to various airlines in NZ.
8. $100 on all awards.
6. Not possible to recredit. Points are lost if you can't use the award ticket.
4. Not possible. You have to cancel (with all penalties) and rebook.
3. Not possible (except on the very highest fares). If you want to change flights you are up for fare difference + $50 change fee.
