I stayed here last night, and can report a positive experience. The front-desk check-in attendant was very friendly and enthusiastic. She acknowledged my status and gave me a Platinum amentity. There is no club lounge.

They had the "unwind" reception going on in the lobby, which offered samples of a red and white wine, both of which were quite good (from California), and some chocolates. The gentleman pouring was also very enthusiastic and engaging.

I got a mini-suite, I guess you'd call it. Longer than the typical room with a sitting area at the foot of the bed. The bathroom was really nice, with a separate stall shower in addition to the bathtub. I noticed that the bathroom was extremely well-lighted, too. The room otherwise was typical of the new Westins with the gray carpet, modern furnishings, and flat screen TV. They gave a complimentary 750mL bottle of water. The Heavenly bed seemed a bit firmer than usual; perhaps because it was new? The room had that new-room smell, which was not bad but not particularly pleasant. (In contrast, in a recent stay at the Arlington Gateway property, the room had a fresh smell.)

That's about all I have to say. I share kokonutz's view of the restaurant and wine bar; they looked attractive, but the menu didn't scream out at me (the prices were a tad lower than I expected) and I didn't patronize them. I checked out the pool and jacuzzi on the top floor. It was a typical small, sterile-looking venue with a lifeguard, who looked as bored as the Maytag repairman.
