IB usually offers some sort of lounge on most international flights. In the States, they are affiliated with AA Admirals Club or the BA Lounge, so depending on which airport, you should be able to enter some sort of departure lounge, have never done Washington to Madrid, though, so not sure of which of these it is exactly.
