If it was me that was flying Id go July 20 - Aug 10 instead so that I could fly AV on their 767 Non-stop. You wont get better comfort on the narrow bodies the others use. It will cost alittle more but Id rather be on a non-stop on a wide-body then having to stop and be on a narrow-body. But thats me.

If you are fixed onto you dates or just dont want to spend the extra (200), Id go with Copa as they have less layover time at PTY then you would have transiting SJO.
