Elite statuses are based on the number of personal nights you stay with us. Points are not counted towards achieving or renewing elite statuses. Remember, our Marriott Rewards credit cards do provide you with automatic Elite night credit (10 nights for the basic card and 15 for the Premier credit card), which can help you renew your Gold Elite status with us.

Accumulated points are, however, counted towards our Lifetime elite statuses.
