In theory, '767' is supposed to designate the 767-200. However, I've made bookings on these flights only to find that the seatmap shows an entirely different configuration (763 non-XM or XM).

Different story: On my most recent flight on a '767', I resigned myself to the domestic config aircraft because at OLCI the seatmap said that's what it would be. When I got to the gate, it had been swapped out for a 77L.
