a good option: the international euro currency card

A good option for an expatriate is to apply for an International Euro Currency card (IEC) .

It exists as Green, Gold, Platinum and Centurion and is issued and managed by Amex UK .

The monthly invoice can be payed off by wire transfer to American Express Bank (Germany) , in your case from your spanish bank account. Note that wire transfers within the European Union using IBAN/BIC are fast and cheap.

An alternative is to pay off with a cheque drawn in Euro from any european bank account.

Have a look at : www.americanexpress.com/iec
