well they really had to replace those seats they were falling apart. Shame LY doesn't replace the IFE on the B744's but I gues it is much cheaper to offer those Didital Players, which works fine for F and C but in Y this can cause a balagan as i think it costs money and then imagine 200 or so passengers wanting one
