I know a few companies that don't allow points earning on company CC's. The stated reason is that earning points on cc spend is a proven disincentive to reduce costs - after all, you receive more personal benefit if you spend more money. For companies that charge the costs through to clients etc its not a big deal but in organizations that absorb most of the cost themselves it can be an issue. I can think of at least 1 previous employer where staff used to be very creative in finding ways to max out their (in this case diners club) spend while still staying in the letter of the rules re: travel costs.

Not saying this is what most people actually do but it isn't particularly bad logic for not allowing users access to points from company spend.
