Hello, prior to my return leg SIN-EWR on 5/4 I needed 4,000 miles to reach KrisFlyer Gold. I just checked my account today and it says:

Current Elite Miles 9,529

Miles required for KrisFlyer Elite Silver requalification 15,471
by 31 May 2009


I thought that I needed to get 50,000 miles by 05/31 each year to have gold. It seems that my 9,529 miles accrued for my return leg are applied to following year. I'm am really upset about this, I booked the flight almost with the sole intention to get Gold now I must start again. Has this happened to anyone else? Why would it say " ... by 31 May 2008/2009", is this not incorrect?

I really need to get Gold as I will have a lot of small business trips on *A for which I would like to use the Gold benefits coming in the next year and probably won't reach Gold towards the end of the year. Any help is appreciated, I'm am extremely upset and this has ruined my whole day.
