Well, after reaching the 1k line, apparently it cancelled out because I have a reward reservation for the same outbound flight (didn't want to cancel it until I ticketed the revenue reservation). The agent says United has changed the software to detect duplicate itins (although in this case one was reward and one was reservation). Of course, it was cancelled it with no explanation.
