The HKG transit was very efficient and even with this delay I was back on a plane 25 minutes after we pulled up to the gate. A delay in LAX meant there was no chance of visiting any lounge but even if we had been on time I'm not sure I would have been able to pull it off or even really wanted to since the gates were right next to each other.

As a side note, the LAX-HKG flight was at best 60% full -- whole rows in C empty and passengers with their own rows in E+.
I've got a trip upcomnig to PEK and two months out the Y seatmap is about 75% blocked. And for some reason theres 7 NF seats but no NC seats. I suppose business sells more than F. So loads seem to be all over the place lately.

I've always been skeptical about the .bomb boarding passes, I've always feared walking up to security or to board and having the GA say Oh thats not real.
