So, if you are transiting HKG and have checked in at home, stop by the RCC or counter in LAX/SFO/ORD and have them print a real BP before you get on that flight.

The HKG transit was very efficient and even with this delay I was back on a plane 25 minutes after we pulled up to the gate. A delay in LAX meant there was no chance of visiting any lounge but even if we had been on time I'm not sure I would have been able to pull it off or even really wanted to since the gates were right next to each other.

As a side note, the LAX-HKG flight was at best 60% full -- whole rows in C empty and passengers with their own rows in E+.
