On a semi related note (not on this carrier though), I took a red-eye flight and the pilot came on the speaker and said that he wants to try to minimize the number of announcements unless necessary (and not do the seat belts on/off sign thing). He asked for our cooperation and keep our seatbelts on when we're in our seats.

I thought that was thoughtful. I slept the entire way through. ^
