There are a half-dozen threads on this board that deplore the quality of the wines CO serves in BF.
My peeve is that the FAs rarely know anything about what is being served. I mean anything.
When you ask, the reply is often: "Uh, the red is French and the white is, um, a Chardonnay. I think." So it is hard to make a decision unless you ask to try all.
We all know that CO is supposed to have at least two reds and two whites in BF on every flight. But just finding out what they are is often a challenge.
I have several times argued for CO using the same wines in BF that they have for sale in the EWR and IAH PCs. The argument put forth against this is that it would be wasteful to be left with unconsumed, opened bottles. But if they have just the Stag's Leap Cabernet and one of the whites from the PC, then the maximum they could lose is two bottles less two glasses.
