Trying to buy train tickets for our trip to Italy, and they will not accept our credit cards online. I've read in other threads and on other boards that this is a well known problem. I've seen lots of people write "try this and it will work". We've tried everything we've read. Still no love.
We tried calling our credit card company. They tell us they aren't denying the charges, and that they aren't even
receiving any authorization requests. So it appears that Trenitaila (or their bank processor) is just denying without even trying to get authorization.
We've registered new accounts, and have tried multiple cards--Denied, Denied, Denied.
We tried calling Trenitailia's call center and just get a recorded message that says "This number can only be reached from identified foreign numbers."

WTH does that mean? We don't have caller ID blocking on our number, so that's not the reason.
ANY SUGGESTIONS????
