Thanks for the thoughts, everyone! I've been to Thailand a couple of times & I've got a good friend who has been living there for 2 years & just accepted a position teaching english at the hospital in HKT - so I have his input - but he's not in the "business world" as an english teacher there.

transpac - thanks for the comments - those are all things that I'd need to evaluate. Language isn't an issue as all business is done in english (the person trying to recruit me speaks only english & very basic thai - my buddy is fluent in thai after about a year of being there).

Thanks for the tips - if I pursue this further & once I get more information, I may come back to this thread with more questions...
