And just because pbarnette's profile does not indicate an elite affiliation with NW doesn't mean he/she can't contribute. Good grief...your profile doesn't indicate a DL affiliation yet you express your opinions all over the DL forum and lots of other places.

My own profile does not show any elite status with NW, either. That's because I rarely fly NW these days. But my lifetime NW miles exceeds my DL miles, and I still have over 250K NW miles in my account.

Although I have often found your contributions to be useful, I think this particular comment was just out of line.
Reread what you posted. "Accept the merger" or "Go somewhere else" sure come across as ultimatums to me, as did pbarnette's encouragement for "everyone to get used to it".

I said nothing to imply that pbarnette could not participate. My objection was to your characterization of his demeanor as a "good attitude". It's real easy to have a "good attitude" when the FF program(s) in which you are participating is not the one going away. Finding actual NW elites who display that "good attitude" will much more challenging, especially as they wise up to Delta's never ending game of inflation and devaluation.
