Expedia paper tickets problem
I have a problem with non-delivery of Expedia paper tickets that were booked in March for travel later in May.
The tickets were booked from the Expedia.com US website for travel on a European carrier originating in the Middle East using a VISA card issued by a Canadian bank with a billing address in India. The tickets were due for delivery to my office address in the UK and I provided them a contact number in Ghana.
Despite being charged almost $50 extra for UPS priority delivery, the tickets have not yet shown up. Expedia insists that the tickets were delivered and signed for by someone named "Carey" at our office in Nuneaton, but we have nobody by that name employed and Nuneaton is 200 miles away from the delivery address!!!
Expedia insists that the tickets have already been received so their responsibility has ended. UPS provides an 0845 number for customer service that I cannot dial from outside the UK. The tickets have a value of over $2000 so I am not keen to simply abandon them and buy new ones.
Any suggestions other than escalating the matter to the credit card issuer? Dealing with Expedia customer service is like hitting my head against a brick wall.
