Dear FTs,
I need to travel to Beijing in June and I am having a terrible time trying to figure out routing, etc. This is my first trip there and have to be bright eyed and ready to work on 6/16.

Basically the only status that I have is with AA (platinum) therefore I would like to maximize miles and possibly have the option of using miles to purchase cabin upgrade (not sure if possible, seems to be with one world awards).

My nearest airport is BOS but I am very flexible and can certainly travel to other US airports as required.

Is there anyone out there that uses one world carriers to make the trip? Of course maximizing miles and minimizing time and costs?
