Meal service generally starts with the F/As asking 1Ks for their preference. At least it's supposed to. Then, more often than not, the F/As go front to back with their requests.

This is in contrast to AA where odd numbered flights start back to front and even numbered flights start front to back (at least if FewMiles is to be believed).
