I believe that Southwest still does not have the remote baggage check-in capability; I saw it mentioned a week or so ago on the DISboards. Asking there would probably bring a lot more responses.
I thought this quote was telling:
"That's so big with them, to have [guests] . . . under Disney's care the whole way," said Jerry Aldrich, president of Orlando-based Amusement Industry Consulting. "Because they feel their care is better. And if you get a better experience, your chances are better of coming back."
That sure sounds like Disney's philosophy! I love Disney, but they seem to take the "benevolent dictator" approach to their customers.
