Its not like high fuel prices are temporary - and the airlines knew that when they introduced the ridiculous surcharge. The prices are only going up and up and up.

What airlines should be doing is planning for the coming reductions of their fleet and workforce. Because of said fuel expense, the cost of flying is going to be out of range for most individuals and businesses within a decade.

I thought I read a while back that AC would start including the fuel surcharge in the base fare price??

Either way, it should be included, as the 3 or 4 years it has been around now is hardly temporary. And they know damn well it's here to stay for the foreseeable future.
