I checked out the walk on Thursday before my trip home.
All oversized / odd size items are claimed behind carousel 9. The only exception it appears are golf bags. There are signs by the odd item claim area saying this. The walk back is about 30 ft. I don't see the huge problem with that. Your initial post made it sound like it was a huge ordeal or a walk to the other side of the terminal.
It is not a far walk but i just saw a group of very confused ladies , they were walking back and forth because the old sign still says all odd size items ski golf etc should be claimed behind carousel 9 .
They were starting to think their bags were lost.
I told them to wait at carousel 9 and the bags will come out there.
My golf bag came out with their bags.
