We must fly in different months since it's only this year that I've gone back to BA for domestic flights since I was finding bmi on average about 20% cheaper for the cheap seats unless I'd left it less than 2 weeks or so. It's only post-T5 that I've found it the other way round.

However, we did share a similar Christmas foggy experience. I too was on a perfectly ontime bmi flight while BA were cancelling all the short haul. However, the Scrooges got me for excess Santa baggage and then ripped the case so not all good!
