Some of the rooms in the Maui property are closer to the water than just about any hotel rooms in Hawaii. There is no beach, though, right at that point -- you need to walk a bit north or south for a beach.
If you have kids under seven, you won't find a better resort in Maui than the Marriott Wailea. If not, though, it's just a regular four star resort. Without young kids, a Wailea condo rental might be a better deal for you.
