Going another step, were there to be a merger, doesn't AA/CO make a lot of sense from a fleet-compatibility perspective, much more than the once-proposed AA/NW merger? Or do CO's aircraft employ different engine types from AA's?
From what I saw on their respective websites, they pretty much use the same engines.
