Hi, there are actually two lounges that you can use after check-in. One is directly across from security, but in the main T4 building, the other is after the hike underground to T4S. I have used both but if you are going on to UK then just head for the T4S one as it is a lot nicer.

As stated, the food is not up to much but I seem to have become addicted to the IB branded biscuits over the years. Sandwiches appear and disappear during the day. There are bars at each end of the lounge and look for the fridges if you want cava, provided the mob from here have not invaded it.

There is a TV area, a computer area but no printers, as well as a variety of sofa/chair areas.

It is not a BA lounge, so the BT free internet wireless thing does not work, but you can pay for BT wireless internet, or other providers.

There was a smoking area last time I went through.

The toilets/showers seem to be open at alternating ends a lot of the time. Think of it as anti DVT measures when you walk up and down the long lounge.

Do remember it takes a fair while if you are checking in to get to T4S and that the lifts are quicker than the escalators.

Have a great trip, I have not been through for a few weeks, but I am about to start spending hours of my life in the lounge again. Remember, if you route your ticket UK BCN MAD xx then you would get more tier points!
