I had something very similar happen.

FA announced that we should go to UAL appreciation at the address another poster has provided for you higher in the thread. I did it the night I got off the plane and was instantly awarded 17k miles!!!

If I was you, I would go there and see what happens when you type in the date and flight number of the affected flight.
