Good News

Now I can fly out from PHL to anywhere without worry about how can I get cheap ticket on United. But I got two questions.
USair did not count elite mile for very cheap e-fare tickets but United will. If I bought a very cheap ticket on Usair, I am wondering if I can get the miles in United. And anyone get a idea what is the policy for lounge access?

Cheers.

-All fares earn elite miles on USAirways.
-Lounge access begins on 10/14/02
-In the "coming months", you will be able to earn UA miles on a USAirways ticket, and vice-versa

UA flyers would do good to take advantage of US transatlantic routes operated with the A330. You'll also gain access to just about every Carribean destination with a runway.

US flyers will certainly enjoy better access to Asia and Hawaii.

And, don't be too concerned about code sharing with a bankrupt airline. They have all their unions on board for major cost-cuts, and the judge just approved the rejection of many of their over-priced aircraft leases.

The new EMB-170 family Regional Jets arrive in the early part of next year, which will reduce the operating costs even further.

As the plan is now, US will come out of bankruptcy in March 2003 - right about the time UA is tailspinning out of control into it's own bankruptcy reorganization.....
