Can't decide between these two. We've not been to either nor have we been to the Big Island. We loved Maui.
Which would be best for a family with two kids age 8 and 10.
Some things we want are:
Beautiful Beach with great snorkeling.
Pool activities/slides etc.
Food choices/cost

It looks like the Wailea Marriott is $400+ where as the Waikoloa I can get for $262 for a large corner room.
