I agree having to confirm that you still want the waitlisted upgrade/flight change is silly.

The only saving grace is that you can check all your itineraries on the website and see if you need to call in.

Accessing the website is not always possible for me on a regular basis....but it at least makes a dumb policy a little more manageable from our point of view.
